The Platteville Middle School is welcoming parents & grandparents to volunteer to cover recess supervision. All volunteers MUST complete the online background check prior to signing up. Information on this can be found below in the "Before Volunteering" section.
Recess times are as follows: > 10:50 to 11:00 am > 11:30 to 11:40 am > 12:00 to 12:15 pm > 12:30 to 12:40 pm.

Before Volunteering:

• Complete the Volunteer Sign-Up on the District Website

• Talk to Mr. Julius or Mr. Brogley to organize times

The day/time of volunteering:

• Check into the office and get a yellow vest.

• While supervising recess, keep moving and scanning the playground. Your physical proximity is very helpful.  Please move throughout the playground area.  

• Please do not take any pictures or video.

• If you notice something or students bring something to your attention, do not intervene. Please notify the closest staff member.

• Important to remember, you are supervising students.  The things that you see and hear need to remain confidential.  Information cannot be shared to the community or on social media.

• When recess is over, please sign-out at the office and return the yellow vest.
