construction

Students currently enrolled in construction classes at Platteville High School will have the opportunity to construct a house over the next two years here in Platteville. The lot, which is located on Lutheran Street, will serve as an outdoor classroom to this project as students learn all aspects of building a house including foundations, framing, electrical, plumbing, and so much more.

Lead by Platteville High School Technical Education teacher, Jason Sasse, students have begun this project in their current classes and will continue into the summer school program which then will carry over into the following school years. The house will be just over 2,000 sq. ft. and have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The students will also partner with local contractors to assist in the project. This project was made possible by the generous support of the homeowners, Bill & Jean Sanders.
