Last week, students at Westview Elementary welcomed members of Opera For The Young to perform "The Magic Flute" ✨ Opera for the Young brings live professional opera to elementary school audiences and worked with our 4th grade students and appeared onstage in chorus and cameo roles! 🎭 These students performed in front of their peers right alongside OFTY's professional artists- all productions are fully staged, sung in english, and adapted especially for kids. Congratulations to Platteville High School Senior, Zach McClain, for being selected for the WFCA All-Star Team! 🏈 . Today, our Platteville High School Educators Rising Organization traveled to UW-Stevens Point for the State Educators Rising Summit! ✨ . Here, they were able to connect with over 300 fellow organization members and future educators! They even heard from award-winning educators from around the state including this year's Wisconsin Teacher of the Year! 🍎 . #thehillmenway

Our First graders celebrated 120 days of school this past Tuesday with a Glow Day! Of course, they celebrated the best way they know how -- with reading, writing and math! 😁 . Some of the activities from the day included using glow lights, using flashlights during reading time, glow bowling, and math games counting to 1️⃣2️⃣0️⃣! . As you can see, FUN was had by ALL students on the 120th Day of 1st Grade! 🤩 . #thehillmenway

Congratulations to our Platteville High School & Middle School Math Teams who competed in the SWC Regional Math Competition yesterday! ✖️➗➖➕ . 25 students competed at the high school level with 21 coming away with medals -- 6 gold 🥇, 10 silver 🥈, and 5 bronze 🥉 . 10 students competed at the middle school level with 10 coming away with medals -- 5 gold 🥇 and 5 silver 🥈 . The Platteville High School Dance Team Members, Alaynah Hingten and Caitlynn Banfield, are OFF TO STATE for the WACPC Division 3 Dance State Championships in LaCrosse! ❤️🤍 . Their duo "Snap Clap" earned 5th place out of 22 teams last weekend and earned them a championship spot!
